Professional School Financial Aid

Creating Opportunity

Artists, authors, entrepreneurs, environmentalists, governors, judges, ministers, nurses, scholars, and surgeons—students in Yale’s thirteen professional schools aspire to be all of these things, and more. Since its founding, Yale’s mission has been to prepare dedicated individuals for service to society, and financial aid allows these students to refine their talents and pursue their chosen vocations without the burden of debt.

“Before attending Yale School of the Environment, I had ten years of work experience at the grassroots and community level. After graduating, I was able to take this same work to the next level and participate in conversations on a state, national, and international scale. Yale helped me to get a seat at these larger tables and empowered me to contribute in a meaningful way.”

D’Souza recently served as deputy secretary for climate policy and intergovernmental relations with the California EPA and helped the state develop plans to achieve carbon neutrality by 2045.

Medicine · Nursing · Public Health
Yale has announced a special challenge to build endowments in the schools of medicine, nursing, and public health. Between July 1, 2021, and June 30, 2026, when a donor makes an endowed gift, the university will make an equal and unrestricted contribution to that school’s general endowment.

How You Can Help

With your gift, you can be the key that opens doors for students. Annual, capital, and planned gifts count toward our $1.2 billion financial aid goal, and contributions count toward reunion class gifts and the For Humanity campaign.
