Associate Director of Development, Yale Cancer Center

The Associate Director of Development, Yale Cancer Center, will work closely with the Assistant Vice President, and will build and manage relationships with faculty, and with grateful patients, grateful patient families, alumni, non-alumni, and friends of the school and university with an ultimate goal to secure gifts in support of Yale Cancer Center/Smilow Cancer Hospital. Associate Director of Stewardship

Reporting to the Deputy Director of Stewardship, the Associate Director of Stewardship supports Yale’s comprehensive and strategic central stewardship program. The Associate Director works collaboratively with Marketing & Communications colleagues as well as individuals within the Office of Development, schools and units, and other departments, to ensure the accuracy and quality of all stewardship digital, print, video, and social media materials. They execute a variety of complex projects including, Yale College program funds, travel funds, graduate fellowships and professorship narratives.

As a member of the Office of Development Leadership Giving team, the Leadership Giving Officer solicits prospective donors to Yale University for gifts of $10,000 to $250,000 and plays a central role in collaborating with colleagues in Major Gifts, the Alumni Fund, Reunion Giving, and Planned Giving to ensure prospects are solicited comprehensively. The Leadership Giving Officer carries their own portfolio of individual prospects within specific geographic regions and also functions in a discovery role.

Yale University seeks an experienced and successful fundraiser to join the Planned Giving team within the university division of Alumni Affairs and Development. As a member of the Planned Giving team, the officer is responsible primarily for the identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of a robust portfolio of 100+ planned giving prospects of alumni and friends university-wide. Yale University seeks an experienced principal gift officer to join the university’s Alumni Affairs & Development division. Reporting to the university director, principal gifts and collaborating with partners across Yale, the principal gift officer is responsible for building relationships with and securing gifts from the university’s highest-level prospects, capable of making gifts of $10 million or more. The principal gift officer is a senior fundraiser in the Office of Development, expected to work in close coordination with the vice president for alumni affairs & development, president, provost, deans, and other academic and administrative partners to maximize donor support for priorities across the university.

Proposal Development Manager

The Proposal Development Manager nurtures critical relationships internally with faculty and leadership, and externally with private foundations and corporations through the development of grant applications that are competitive for funding. Key partners include colleagues serving roles in academic leadership, research administration, corporate and foundation relations, as well as colleagues across schools and departments. Success in the role requires the ability to foster an environment that promotes collaboration and teamwork, and effective project management skills with the ability to organize, meet deadlines, and prioritize multiple tasks with competing needs.

YSM Alumni Director of Development

Reporting to the Director of Development for Alumni Affairs and Giving, the Director of Development will manage their own portfolio of major gift prospects and donors, and devise— in close collaboration with the Yale School of Medicine (YSM) leadership, Clinical Department leadership, other Directors of Development, the Prospect Management and Research Team, and other School and University colleagues— strategic fundraising plans to secure gifts for high priority YSM fundraising initiatives.
