Assistant/Associate Director of Development Initiatives, Development
Reporting to the Associate Vice President (AVP) and exercising a high level of independence, the Assistant/Associate Director is responsible for a wide range of fundraising support initiatives and activities. The Assistant/Associate Director of Development Initiatives plays a pivotal role in defining, establishing, and maintaining best practices in support of the objectives and key results of the six units reporting up to AVP.
Assistant/Associate Director, Yale Alumni Fund
The Yale Alumni Fund seeks an Assistant/Associate Director to elevate fundraising and volunteer management efforts. Yale’s annual fund programs, which include Yale College, Yale Parents, and Graduate School and Professional Schools, raise unrestricted funds to support the university’s core needs, from financial aid and enriching student life, to teaching and research. As an Assistant/Associate Director, you will work as a frontline fundraiser in the Yale annual giving team regularly connecting with prospective donors and volunteers through individual visits, phone, and email to solicit gifts to the university.
Assistant Vice President, Advancement Services
Reporting to the Vice President for Alumni Affairs & Development (AA&D), exercising a high level of independence, autonomy, and decision-making, and serving as a member of the AA&D senior leadership team (SLT), the Assistant Vice President, Advancement Services oversees strategic initiatives and multiple units including Advancement Systems; Analytics & Data Services; Gift & Records Services; Marketing & Communications; and Organizational Learning & Development. Supervises unit leaders, providing guidance, mentoring, and performance management. Provides strategic leadership and sets strategic direction for information management and donor services.
Deputy Director, Yale Alumni Fund
Yale University seeks an experienced and successful manager to join the university’s division of Alumni Affairs and Development. Yale’s annual fund programs, including Yale College, Yale Parents, and the Graduate School and Professional Schools, play a vital role in raising unrestricted funds that support the university’s fundamental priorities. These priorities encompass financial aid, the enhancement of student life, and the advancement of teaching and research. As a senior leader within the Alumni Fund team, the Deputy Director offers strategic leadership and guidance to a dedicated team charged with advancing fundraising and engagement efforts throughout Yale’s annual fund programs.
Program Coordinator, Associate Vice President’s Office
Reporting to the Assistant Director of Development Initiatives in the Office of the Associate Vice President (AVP) of Development, the Program Coordinator (PC) serves as the key administrative support and strategic partner for the AVP team. The PC initiates and maintains strong communication with the AVP and manages the AVP’s calendar, schedules meetings, generates meeting agendas, prepares meeting materials including PowerPoint presentations, and assists with the management of virtual meetings.
Program Coordinator, Parent Gifts
The Program Coordinator (PC) for the Parent Gifts team within the Office of Development is tasked with providing essential fundraising support, analysis, and collaboration with various stakeholders. Reporting to the Program Manager and working closely with the Director of Parent Gifts, the PC develops capital gift proposals for major gifts, drafts various written materials, and conducts detailed research for the Parent Gifts team.
Program Coordinator, YSM C&F Development
Under limited supervision, the Program Coordinator will provide advanced analysis and expert support for the Deputy Director for Corporate and Foundation Relations in all aspects of prospect management including drafting written materials, maintaining detailed prospect database records, preparation and monitoring of project budgets, managing financial record keeping to coordinate with C&F stewardship efforts, and planning and staffing site visits involving some of Yale’s valued corporate and foundation partners.
Program Manager, Principal Gifts
Reporting to the University Director, Principal Gifts, the Program Manager manages a team of program coordinators and administrative professionals to ensure a high level of support for the Associate Vice President, University Director, and Principal Gift Officers in their work to raise transformational gifts for Yale’s highest priorities. Responsible for hiring and training new program coordinators and administrative team members. Serves as senior editor to the team as it produces timely, high-quality gift proposals, written briefing materials and draft correspondence for Yale leadership, donor stewardship reports, and other writing projects in accordance with style guides and established procedural guidelines.
Reunion Giving Program Coordinator
Working with considerable independence and exercising discretion in establishing priorities, the Reunion Giving Program Coordinator provides data management, research, administrative, and communications support for the Director of Yale College Reunion Giving and other members of the Reunion Giving team. Reporting to the Reunion Giving Program Manager, the Program Coordinator is responsible for a range of activities that include assisting with the development of solicitation/cultivation strategies for Reunion Gift Committee members; overseeing the preparation and production of communications including mail solicitations, emails, volunteer training materials, and event invitations; and coordinating special events to ensure their timely and successful execution.
Staff Writer, Communications
Reporting to the Associate Director, Communications, the staff writer provides support for Yale’s fundraising efforts by researching, drafting, and preparing written communications including news articles, gift announcements, web copy, brochures, solicitation materials, case statements, proposals, stewardship reports, video scripts, and more. The staff writer creates a wide range of content in support of Yale’s fundraising and alumni engagement priorities.
