Planned Giving Officer

Yale University seeks an experienced and successful fundraiser to join the Planned Giving team within the distinguished university division of Alumni Affairs and Development. As a member of the Planned Giving team, the officer is responsible primarily for the identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of a robust portfolio of 100+ planned giving prospects of alumni and friends university-wide.

Communications Coordinator, Gift & Records Services 

The Gift and Records Services (G&RS) unit in the Office of Development is responsible for all gift processing. Reporting to the associate director of contribution processing, the communications coordinator is responsible for several vital processes in donor stewardship, including gift acknowledgments, pledge reminders, and tribute notification letters. The communications coordinator works closely with gift officers, Information Technology Services (ITS), and other staff in Information Management and Donor Services to ensure that communications with donors are accurate and timely.

Information Processor 3, Gift and Records Services

As a member of the Gift and Records Services unit, the information processor plays a crucial role in ensuring that the development office is processing revenue and servicing our constituents in a timely and accurate manner. Reporting to the associate director, communications, the senior staff writer will provide support for Yale’s fundraising efforts by independently researching, drafting, and preparing a variety of high-level print and digital publications, including proposals, case statements, white papers, brochures, news articles, gift announcements, website content, emails, and other communications. Proactively cultivate sources, develop leads, and pitch content ideas to the Communications leadership team and to Yale’s Office of Public Affairs and Communications.

Assistant Director, Special Stewardship

Reporting to the senior associate director, special stewardship, and working closely with the Principal Gifts team, school/unit development directors and Stewardship staff, and colleagues in Marketing & Communications, the assistant director, special stewardship, supports a donor relations program that provides individualized, high-level stewardship for a selected group of multidisciplinary university donors related to their giving to Yale.

Reporting to the assistant vice president, development for schools and units with a dotted reporting line to the director of development and alumni relations at the School of Architecture, and working in close coordination with the dean for the School of Art, the director is responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive fundraising and alumni relations program to create awareness of, and interest in, the needs of the School of Art to generate support for those needs, and to foster effective alumni engagement.

Associate Director, Stewardship

Reporting to the director of stewardship/recording secretary, and working closely with colleagues in the Office of Development and other university officials, the associate director supports Yale’s comprehensive and strategic central stewardship program.
