Cities and Climate Solutions: Catalyzing Change for a Sustainable Future

An exploration of how cities can catalyze powerful climate solutions that promote more resilient, sustainable, prosperous, and equitable communities for all.

About the Program

In our increasingly urbanized world, cities are leading contributors to climate change, consuming two-thirds of the global energy supply and generating three-quarters of the world’s greenhouse-gas emissions. At the same time, people in urban centers are uniquely vulnerable to the effects of climate change, from floods and extreme heat to food insecurity and poor health outcomes.

On March 4, nearly 800 Yalies gathered in New York City to hear from Yale scholars and professors working toward solutions for a more sustainable planet.
