Yale Planetary Solutions Hosts Yale @ Climate Week NYC

Coinciding with Climate Week NYC, Yale’s summit will feature leaders, researchers, and visionaries from the climate sector.

This fall, some of the top minds in climate solutions will convene at the Yale Club in New York City for four days of events spotlighting scalable and transformative answers for climate change. Among them, former Secretary of State John Kerry ’66 will discuss climate leadership with New York Times journalist Lisa Friedman. Roger Cohn, founder and editor of Yale Environment 360, will interview esteemed author Bill McKibben. And NPR’s Neela Banerjee will lead a discussion about communicating the case for climate action.

Hosted by Yale Planetary Solutions and the Whitney and Betty MacMillan Center for International and Area Studies, the series of panels, symposia, workshops, and performances will comprise the inaugural Yale @ Climate Week NYC, running from September 24 through 27.

Yale’s program coincides with Climate Week NYC, an annual gathering of thousands of researchers, business leaders, political leaders, activists, and other citizens working for a better future, hosted in partnership with the United Nations General Assembly. The summit aims to speed the transition to a world less reliant on fossil fuels.

The events of Yale @ Climate Week NYC will be both in person and virtual. Yale President Maurie McInnis will present opening remarks along with Provost Scott Strobel.
