Yale Law School (YLS) will expand upon its legacy of training leaders for all sectors of society with the Joseph C. Tsai Leadership Program at Yale Law School. Yale Law School graduates pursue many career trajectories. The Tsai Leadership Program will bring experts from a variety of fields to campus, open career pathways for students, and modernize the legal curriculum to prepare mission-driven leaders for the challenges ahead.
The program is named for Joseph Tsai ’86, ’90 JD, who with his wife, Clara Wu Tsai, joined with other generous alumni and the school to invest in mission-driven leaders. Additional support for this type of programming comes from Gene Ludwig ’73 JD and Carol Ludwig, who have named a program in public sector leadership, and Michael Chae ’97 JD and Alexa Chae ’97 JD, who have named an initiative in private sector leadership.
The Tsai Leadership Program will allow YLS to build new courses that span accounting, statistics, corporate finance, ethics, and emerging issues related to big data, technological change, and globalization. Specialized intensives and workshops will let students hone their skills, and mentors will be on hand to help them explore the wide variety of opportunities available for YLS graduates.
