An exciting new center expanding Yale’s capacity to research and teach the discipline of data science. The Institute for the Foundations of Data Science (FDS) opened in spring 2022 and brings together faculty, graduate students, and staff in a dynamic atmosphere of cross-disciplinary collaboration. Daniel A. Spielman, Sterling Professor of Computer Science, leads the FDS as the inaugural James A. Attwood Director.
