For Innovation: Planning for Excellence

Yale’s School of Engineering and Applied Sciences and Faculty of Arts and Sciences will benefit from a transformative investment in faculty and research.

Recognizing the strategic importance of innovation in technology and science, Yale will act to bolster engineering and science education by dramatically expanding ladder faculty positions, investing in key infrastructure, and giving the School of Engineering & Applied Science its own distinctive faculty and organizational structure.  

The Faculty of Arts and Sciences (FAS) will also benefit from this investment with fifteen new incremental faculty positions and other changes related to budgeting and structure that will open new opportunities for growth for the FAS, not just in the STEM fields but across the arts and humanities as well.
