Gift to Yale School of Medicine Supports Breast Cancer Breakthroughs

A gift from Indra Nooyi ’80 MPPM and Raj Nooyi will fund research to improve the treatment of breast cancer.

At Yale School of Medicine, the Raj and Indra Nooyi Cancer Research Fund supports innovative breast cancer treatment strategies that reduce the toxicity and burden on patients.

Established with a generous gift from Indra Nooyi ’80 MPPM, the former chair and CEO of PepsiCo, and her husband, Raj Nooyi, a former supply chain management executive, the fund fills gaps left by traditional grant mechanisms and ensures sustainable support for this vital research.

“They are providing groundbreaking research funding that will allow for the most optimal, patient-centered care and decrease the burden of breast cancer treatment,” says Mehra Golshan, a professor of surgery whose research will be supported by the fund.
