Committing to a Healthier Future

Yale is making a historic investment in the future of health professionals around the globe.

If the pandemic has made anything clear, it is that humanity needs leadership in public health and medicine now more than ever before. As a step toward meeting that need, Yale will commit $150 million to match endowment funds already being raised by the School of Medicine, the School of Nursing, and the School of Public Health.

These investments come on the heels of the decision to recognize the Yale School of Public Health (YSPH) as a free-standing professional school with its own endowment.

Yale’s decision comes at a time when experts in medicine, nursing, and public health are realizing that leadership in medicine and cutting-edge research must be combined with commitments to advancing equity and quality of healthcare for all.
