A generous gift from the Poorvu family has created a permanent endowment for the Center for Teaching and Learning. With the support of William Poorvu ’56 and Lia Poorvu and their children Alison Poorvu Jaffe ’81 and Jonathan Poorvu ’84, the center will continue to enhance pedagogy with evidence-based teaching techniques for faculty at Yale and teachers around the world. The center will also help students with tutoring and resources for writing, science, quantitative reasoning, and academic strategies. In recognition of this gift, the center has been named the Poorvu Center for Teaching and Learning.
